ONLINE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF PERFORMANCE FOR CHILDREN!

The festival aims to be a springboard for gifted children and adolescents, enabling participants to establish relations of friendship and international artistic cooperation through music.

Festival has proposed since the first edition to discover and promote, both online and on the great stages festivals of this kind, children with great artistic sense all over the world and to encourage the artistic quality and interpretation of live music.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

Participants between the ages of 5 and 18 (whose birthday is before the 5 March 2012) from any country, are allowed to take part in the contest of Music Star Winter Festival
ALL THE PARTICIPANTS ARE OBLIGED TO PRESENT FOR SELECTION ONE NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL SONG

These must be accompanied by a completed registration form and by a copy of the receipt as proof of payment for the entrance fee for each participant submitted.

REGULATION:

MUSIC STAR WINTER FESTIVAL, now in its second edition, goes online on http://www.littlemusicstars.blogspot.com site, between February 10 to March 11, 2012, and is addressed for singers aged between 5 - 18 years. Festival aims to encourage the artistic quality and interpretation of music and promoting young talents.

Selection will take place depending on the material sent by competitors and will be from national or international repertoire, songs that you think it represent you the best and that fits the specific repertoire of children and adolescents. Each piece will last maximum 3 minutes and will be submitted in one of the following formats: wma or mp3. The song must be recorded on a sound track without no other voices (no choirs, no eco voices).

The following details must be clearly written in your e-mail: full name, title of the piece, genre, author, duration and clearly stating if it is an original piece or an arrangement, whether or not it was ever performed, etc.

Each contestant can submit a maximum of two songs.

For the final only one piece is allowed per singer.

The interpreter must have permission of the composer / lyricist of the song submitted in the contest and must give a statement on own responsibility that holds the consent of the composer (see form - to be completed online). Any details regarding the presentation of the piece in the contest, between performer and composer / lyricist, it does not concern the organizers , and will will be settled between them (composer / lyricist / performer).

SELECTIONS:

All those who wish to participate in "WINTER STAR MUSIC FESTIVAL" - Second Edition, will complete correctly and fully online contest sheet and statement of the composer's consent and have to submit them to little_music_stars@yahoo.com until the February 29th:

* A national/international song, of your choice - positive version, mp3 or wave format.

* An artistic photography of competitor (average plan / foreground) in JPEG format.

* Fee: 50 EUR/soloist (for payment details please contact us via e-mail: little_music_stars@yahoo.com or via SKYPE: littlemusicstars)

It will NOT be allowed to the contest other than one of the pieces presented at registration!

We are not responsible for the content of data provided by you in the application form, nor the quality of the positives that you send.

The selection is based on hearing pieces entered into the contest, online on the festival's blog.

Judging will take place between 1 to 10 March 2012 and will be divided as follows: 50% based on online voting and 50% according to the marks awarded by professional judges.

AWARDING THE WINNERS:

March 11, 2012

Voting results will be updated daily, and the list of the five finalists will be published on the blog festival, starting on March 11, 2012. Only the top three prizewinners will be awarded as follows:

First Place - the Grand Prix of the festival:

Trophy + 200 EUR and diploma

Second Place:

medal + 150 EUR and diploma

Third place:

medal + 100 EUR and diploma

All participants to the finals will be awarded with special diplomas.

The Jury reserves the right - according to its irreversible and final judgement - to assign further prizes than those already stated.

The Organizer may also offer the finalists prizes donated by possible sponsors. The results of the contest are final.

Reminder:
- The final score will consist of 50% from online voting and 50% of notes given by special jury.
- Will be displayed on the voting system only the song title and not competitor's name, not to influence voting results! It will be considered at the selection criteria: age of the soloist, voice and performing skills.
- Deadline for registration is February 29.
